 DO YOU KNOW YOUR COUSINSHIP:

What is your relationship to your first cousin's
son or daughter, A common mistake is thinking "Second Cousin" your first cousin's children are your first cousins once removed, your children and your first cousin's children
are "Second Cousins".
There are Double First Cousins.
You could be a cousin to your own parents or a cousin to your brother and sister.
You can be related to a person more than once, such as in my case, I have one cousin that is my "First cousin once removed", my "Third cousin once removed" and my "Third cousin twice removed".
I have cousins that are by the same parents, sisters, to each other they are not only sisters but also cousins, Fouth cousins and Fourth cousins once removed.
These same cousins to their father are "Third cousins once removed and "Third cousins twice removed", to their mother they are "Fourth cousins" and "Fourth cousins once removed".

Just a family matter...
In Tazewell, Virginia, a 93-year-old man married a 63-year-old woman who was the step-daughter of his daughter, who had married his new wife's father.
He became the son-in-law of his daughter and a son-in-law of his own son-in-law.
He also became the father-in-law of his wife's father, while his wife's father became the father-in-law of his own father-in-law.
In addition, the new bride became mother-in-law to her own father, while she and her husband's daughter became each other's step-mother.
The bridegroom and the wife's father are now also step-sons to each other, while the new bride and her husband's daughter are each other's step-daughters. Got it?

 Redneck Family Tree

Many many years ago when I was twenty three,
I got married to a widow who was pretty as could be.
This widow had a grown-up daughter who had hair of red.
My father fell in love with her, and soon the two were wed.
This made my dad my son-in-law and changed my very life.
My daughter was my mother, for she was my father's wife.
To complicate the matters worse, although it brought me joy,
I soon became the father of a bouncing baby boy.
My little baby then became a brother-in-law to dad and so became my uncle,
Though it made me very sad.
For if he was my uncle, then that also made him brother
To the widow's grown-up daughter who, of course, was my step-mother.
Father's wife then had a son, who kept them on the run.
And he became my grandson, for he was my daughter's son.
My wife is now my mother's mother and it makes me blue.
Because, although she is my wife, she's my grandmother too.
If my wife is my grandmother, then I am her grandchild.
And every time I think of it, it simply drives me wild.
For now I have become the strangest case you ever saw.
As the husband of my grandmother, I am my own grandpa!

BLOODY CHILDLEY
-----------------------------------
In my Grandfathers days (William Kennedy 1879-1946) there was a person by the name of CHIDLEY, who must of been the village idiot.
My father Vincent Stephen Kennedy, as I remember would call my sister, brothers and my self,
" a bloody Chidley " when he was mad at us for some things we would do.
Some how I  knew the name ment that we were idiots.   I asked dad one day when he called us by this name what did it mean and he said that  it did mean we were idiots.   I recall hearing my sister and brothers and my self useing the name for the same purpose.
