    Four Generations of Australian Kennedy's

Tribute to our mother who walked in the footsteps of our Ancestors and on the 30th November 1997 with a loving Smile to her family gathered around her went to be with our ancestors in Gods Garden to walk with them.

In a mass at St. Carthages Cathedral Lismore We celebrated her Life on the 2nd December 1997. The Pallbearers were her sons Jeffrey, Gary, Rodney And Tony and her grandson Andrew Marius Simmons who is in the Australian Navy attended in Navy uniform and as we proceeded to her final resting place at Lismore, Goonellabah Lawn Cemetery Saluted his grandmother. The tribute that her grand children wrote and the eldest Dianne Simmons spoke on the behalf of them all.

On behalf of all Nana's grandchildren we would like to express a few things which we love and will remember always about our beloved Nana.
She was a loving, caring compassionate woman. Her beautiful homemade gifts, especially her crocheted rugs which we all will treasure.
The ever diligent birthday telephone calls and her vast knowledge of
natural health remedies.
She loved everyone in the family unconditionally and equally by taking an
active interest in our lives and encouraging us to fulfill our dreams.
Whenever loved ones would visit rest assured your favorite meal would be
lovingly cooked and when you left, she would stand at the door and wave
goodbye until we were out of sight.
Finally, she was the peacemaker and the heart of the family and we will
love and remember you always Nana.

DAYS GONE BY

Cherish well their memories - the misty Past now scan, They're nearly all "departed" who pioneered "the van" They paved the way for others - forgetful do not be; They "blazed the track", my brothers, for men like you and me!  With thrifty hands that blistered, the men and women worked; Dissension never whispered - their duties never shirked; A tribute to their straightness, my humble pen decrees, Their deeds were lined with greatness - for noble folk were these!  This booklet may be humble - its none the less sincere To many minds recalling old memories that are dear; The past is oft forgotten - the missing link connect, And let us pay to all a tribute of respect!

From "Peeps Into The Past" by F.A. Fitzpatrick.

Cancer closed your eyes
Cousins are a special gift much like precious stones.
Hearts where completely broken as you fought so hard to stay,
we knew you had to leave us but you never went alone.
A part of us went with you the day you closed your eyes.
Now in peaceful sleep, cancer has closed your eyes.
Walk through the rain of tears, and play in the sun.
Give God your hand and he will lead you in to his garden where other family members await.
Cousin we will remember you.

                                         COUSINS

Numbness grips my soul locked in gloom.

My mind is lost in endless thoughts that burn and scorches my soul when a loved one’s life is done, than I wake to the morning Sun.

The memories of my cousins are happy ones, how I cherish those years.

They leave an afterglow of smiles now that their lives are done.

They will leave an eco whispering softly down the years of happy times and laughing times that will brighten our days.

The tears we do grieve will dry in the morning sun and remember them for many years to come.

They are now in a perfect happy place
